Last year, hundreds of Firehouse Subs® franchisees hosted Touch-the-Truck events across North America in celebration of International Firefighters Day in May and National Fire Protection Association® (NFPA) Fire Prevention Week in October.
Underscoring the brand’s ongoing commitment to public safety, these fun, interactive, and educational events welcomed families into restaurant parking lots for a unique, hands-on experience with real fire trucks and emergency vehicles.
Guests had the opportunity to meet the frontline heroes who operate them, explore the trucks up close, and learn more about the critical role first responders play in keeping communities safe.
In partnership with NFPA, the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation® also provided kids and families with co-branded fire safety materials featuring Sparky the Fire Dog® at the October Touch-the-Truck events. Attendees received important fire prevention tips directly from local first responders, reinforcing practical safety lessons they could take home and put into action.
More information about 2026 Touch-the-Truck events will be shared soon, with activations planned at Firehouse Subs restaurants across North America.
