This April Fools’ Day, Firehouse Subs® is joking about offering a massive 640-ounce drink for $25, but the real story behind the laugh is even better.
That “drink” is actually one of our recycled five-gallon pickle buckets, and they’re available for just a $4 donation at participating restaurants across North America.
It may be a playful idea, but the impact is lifesaving. Proceeds from every bucket support the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation®, which provides lifesaving equipment and resources to first responders. To date, the Foundation has granted more than $107 million in support across North America.
So while the 640-ounce drink is a joke, the $4 pickle bucket and the difference it makes are very real.
